VSPCA was founded by Mr Ashok Krishnadas in 1991 in his factory tool shed so he could provide care for the stray animals in the surrounding area.

His thought was to have a place where stray animals could avail of the same facilities that had until then only been known to pets, for this he enlisted the help of our biggest strength – Animal Lovers !! People would call us to inform us about animals in need and we brought them back to our facility to treat.

Over the years we have continued to stay true to Ashokbhai’s original idea while also adding a number of other feathers to the VSPCA cap.
